Product description

Product description

This lightweight rayon batiste fabric is sought after for breezy summer dresses, tops, skirts, and loose pants. It is thin, unbelievably touchable (more like silk than cotton), and cool. This fabric is so drapey and flowing that it just begs to work its magic in tunics, wrap-arounds, ruffles, and culottes. It’s perfect for a day dress to kick around in or even a summer pajama set.

This original print was created exclusively for Sartor Bohemia.

EcoVero, a trademark of the Lenzing company, is rayon viscose fabric made to strict sustainability standards. The raw material is wood from sustainably managed forests. The manufacturing process itself, from tree to fiber, has been optimized to minimize its impact on the environment. In terms of water consumption, chemical use, and overall carbon footprint, EcoVero rayon is one of the most ecological textiles currently available, surpassing not just cotton, but traditional rayons as well, including lyocell. What’s more, it’s entirely recyclable!

Care

Machine wash cool (30°C). Iron on cotton setting. This is a very fine fabric, use a low spin cycle – gentle handling will extend its lifespan.

FAQ

What is a limited edition?

Limited editions are fabrics of exceptional quality or patterns that have been designed and produced exclusively under the Sartor brand. As a rule, they do not repeat and are therefore only available while supplies last. Don't miss your chance to own a true original.

Should I pre-shrink fabric before sewing?

If we recommend pre-shrinking for a particular fabric, we generally say so in the product description. As a rule, pre-shrinking is needed for linen, cotton, and rayon, but for finer fabrics (light rayon, Tencel and modal) proceed with care – don't use hot water or a hot iron, simply launder the fabric the way you will be laundering the completed garment.

Can I put goods on hold?

Yes. If you plan to pick up the goods in person at our store in Prague, you can put them on hold through the e-shop – there's a link just below the price on the product page. We will hold items for you for one week.

Do you accept orders by phone or email?

No. We only accept retail orders through the e-shop. This eliminates situations where someone else orders the last of an item while your order is still sitting in our inbox or lies jotted on a bit of paper by the phone. By purchasing online, you are putting an immediate hold on the product. Of course, you can always call or write to us if you need help making your selection.

Do you ship abroad?

Yes. We ship worldwide. The price of shipping is automatically calculated at checkout before payment after you select the country of delivery and the preferred carrier. If you do not find your country in the dropdown list, please contact us. You will find a rough overview of shipping costs in our shipping and payment terms.
