Product question

Product description

This red ramie is plant-based fiber with qualities similar to linen. It is exceptionally sturdy, washes well, dries quickly, and is bacteria resistant. It is well suited to summer clothing in its lightweight versions. Mid-weight variants work well for kerchiefs and light trousers, as well as for home decor.

Compared to linen, ramie is slightly rougher to the touch, but at the same time it has a nicer drape and has a slightly silky sheen. It softens with every wash and gains in luster, but if handled carelessly stray fibers may come loose. We recommend laundering with care; avoid machine drying.

Care

Wash dyed ramie at 40°C; white and natural fabrics can be laundered at 60°C. Iron on the highest setting; may also be steamed.
