Product description

Japanese design from Nani IRO

Every Nani IRO fabric begins life as a watercolor painted by Japanese designer Naomi Ito. Delicate strokes capture the interplay of nature, light, and emotion in designs that play with the idea of color itself. The pattern is then transferred to premium textiles using state-of-the-art printing technology. The result – a wearable work of art.

“I hope my textiles will be like the
scenery you see when you close your
eyes – filled with memories, light, and
warmth.”

Naomi Ito

Original designer print “HANA NO TOKI NIWA“

In Naomi Ito’s designer print Hana no toki niwa a scattering of watercolor flowers flutters across a solid background. Generous open space lets each blossom breathe and the vivid, cheerful colors stand out.

“A sky clear as crystal, offering a bouquet of poems. When flowers bloom, offer flowers. Carried by the wind, swaying in the sky, I offer them from my heart.”

Naomi Ito

Qualities

As its name implies, double gauze is woven in two layers. It is essentially two fine, loosely woven panels joined together at points at regular intervals. Ordinary, single-layered gauze is quite sheer and not terribly strong; its loose weave makes it easy to damage. Combined in a double layer it gains durability and stability while still retaining its airy lightness and wonderful breathability.

Uses

This fabric looks great in loosely cut garments like casual tops, tunics, dresses, and wide pants. Let the print stand out in simple cuts – a wrap-around dress, a tunic, a boxy sheath dress, a full skirt – or give a nod to Japanese tradition and try your hand at a summery kimono jacket. Can you see this print in your interior? Why not make a set of curtains.

Care

Machine wash cool (30°C). Iron on cotton setting. Because this is a delicate fabric, select a lower spin cycle; gentle handling will prolong its lifetime.

Do you accept orders by phone or email?

No. We only accept retail orders through the e-shop. By purchasing online, you are putting an immediate hold on the product. Of course, you can always call or write to us if you need help making your selection.

Do you ship abroad?

Yes. We ship worldwide. The price of shipping is automatically calculated at checkout before payment after you select the country of delivery and the preferred carrier. If you do not find your country in the dropdown list, please contact us. You will find a rough overview of shipping costs in our shipping and payment terms.

When will my order be delivered?

The estimated delivery date with your selected carrier can be seen before payment is made at checkout. It is calculated as the time for processing and packing your order plus the time it takes the selected carrier to deliver to a specific destination – this can be from 2 days for delivery within the Czech Republic to a week for delivery outside the EU. Expect longer delivery times during big sales and holidays.
