Cotton voile
Cotton voile is woven of very fine thread but with a fairly tight weave, which helps it hold its shape. This fabric is smooth, breathable, very comfortable, and easy to care for.
Spanish fashion fabric
Discover the magic of Spanish design with fabric designed, woven, and printed entirely in the heart of Catalonia, the historical textile Mecca that has been setting the tone for European textile manufacturing since the 18th century.
Spanish patterns are elegant and playful with an eye for detail. This fabric combines premium quality and the contemporary flair of Spanish design – a perfect balance of provocation and elegance.
Traditional rotary screen printing
This fabric was printed using a technique known as rotary screen printing, a process where a design is engraved in a metal cylinder and ink is forced through tiny perforations directly onto the fabric. This method, widespread in Europe since the 1960s, allows for precise, even color application. Although it has been giving way to digital technology in recent years, rotary screen printing remains the standard for artisanal precision and is a traditional textile printing method in Europe.
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100
This fabric is certified OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, Class I – the highest rating, which guarantees safety for children under three. Certification means that the fabric does not contain harmful substances and poses no health risks, so you can use it with confidence for clothing and items that will come into direct contact with a child’s sensitive skin.
Organic cotton
This fabric is made of premium organic cotton that has been certified for environmentally responsible production – from ecological farming to final processing. Organic cotton is not just good for the planet, it also delivers finer quality compared to ordinary cotton.
What to use it for
When you handle cotton voile, the first thing to come to mind is a summer dress or top. It is perfect for hot weather and since it holds its shape and is easy to sew with, you can play around with more advanced construction, gathers, and pleats. But it also excels in simple tunics, children’s frocks, and summer scarves and wraps.
Cotton voile was very popular in the early twentieth century; if you want to create a summer dress in 1920s style, voile is what you want. And unless you’re an absolute purist, you can use it to put together shifts and historical undergarments from earlier periods as well (Renaissance, Middle Ages).
Cotton voile also makes a nice background for tone-on-tone (and color) embroidery.
Care
Machine wash warm (40°C). Iron on cotton setting. This is a very fine fabric, use a low spin cycle – gentle handling will extend its lifespan.
