Peace silk shades of pink
Peace silk offers a humane way to enjoy the benefits of gorgeous silk fabric without the necessity of killing the silk moth larvae to harvest their cocoons. This cruelty-free silk, or eri silk, is made from the cocoons left behind by silk moths when they emerge, so the silk filament is shorter. The result is a lovely fabric with a less ostentatious sheen than classic mulberry silk. Enjoy the wonderful properties of silk without the guilt. Cruelty-free silk
Peace silk (sometimes called vegan silk, Ahimsa silk, eri silk) is gathered from cocoons left behind when silk moths emerge, so larvae are not killed in the process, but allowed to mature in peace and fly away which is why fabrics made from these cocoons are referred to also as non-violent silks or cruelty-free silks. Filaments from these broken silk cocoons are shorter than those harvested conventionally. The resulting silk fabric has a more subtle silky sheen than classic silk but has all of the benefits of other natural silks. Great all-natural, alternative, sometimes called vegan silk.
