Extra fine wool
If you think wool is only for winter coats, think again. Wool can be made into fabric that’s light as a breeze and nearly translucent. Extra fine wool comes in plain, twill, and herringbone weaves. It is an absolute rarity today, so hard to find that we had to work up a spec and then go out and have some made just for you.
This ultra lightweight is sure to win you over, whether you’re a history buff or follow modern fashion.
Historically, fine wool muslin was used for all manner of headwraps and veils. And up until the 20th century, lightweight wools were a popular choice for warm-weather dresses and shirts. Today we can use it for wonderful layered effects or delightful featherweight scarves.
Extra fine wool fabric takes well to wool dyes, both natural and synthetic.

Ultralight wool fabrics
Wool can be made into anything from heavyweight winter fabric to fine wool muslin. Our extra fine wool fabric in various weaves is a rare material that you won't find just anywhere else.
Extra fine wool fabric is suitable for sewing period clothing, historical costumes and for wool head wraps and Medieval wool veils.
Sew it into a modern lightweight wool dress or a light wool scarf. A scarf made of extra fine wool is elegant, but at the same time wonderfully warm. In this way it resembles genuine pashmina.
