Product description
This light lyocell fabric in sky blue has the subtle, diagonal stripe typical of a twill weave and an elegant, dull sheen. The back has a matte surface and the weave is nearly invisible. The two sides can be swapped and combined when sewing to achieve interesting effects.
Uses
This fabric is great for sewing blouses, dresses, skirts, culottes, and casual wear as well as nightwear. It is smooth to the touch and very comfortable against bare skin.
About lyocell
Lyocell belongs to the rayon family and, like rayon, is made of natural, plant-based materials. In comparison to classic rayon, however, it is much more durable and many times more environmentally friendly. Its manufacture produces minimal waste. The water and other materials used in its production are nearly entirely recuperated and reused and, unlike cotton, it requires no pesticides.
What is the difference between lyocell and Tencel? It is the same material. Tencel is simply a trade name for lyocell.
Care
Hand wash or machine wash at 30°C on the gentle cycle. Avoid wringing dry, simply press out excess water. Rough handling may break some fibers. Iron on the cotton setting.
