This stock of hand-woven fabric was passed down through generations before making its way to us. Vintage linen begs to be used for historical costuming but it can also add something special to interiors both rustic and modern. These heirloom linens have extraordinary weight and a distinctive texture that you won’t find with new linen weaves.
Naturally, vintage hand-woven pieces can boast the same qualities as any other pure linen fabric; they are strong and durable and they breathe. You can preserve their natural earthy tones, bleach them white, or dye them.
We do not clean our vintage linen before shipping it out – we leave it as it is, with the occasional stains that the passage of time has brought, so that you can choose whether to clean your heirloom fabric with modern chemical agents or using the ancient power of sun, wind, and snow.
