This shot yellow and white linen is made like any other plain weave linen, but the warp and weft are different colors and the varying thickness of the natural threads creates a subtle tonal effect that sits well wherever you don’t want a single block of color but you don’t want a distracting pattern either.

In its lightweight variation, shot linen is a brilliant, blousy material for kerchiefs, shirts, tunics, and swingy summer pants. Its heavier variant is good for trousers, skirts, and jackets, as well as curtains, home decor, and even period costumes.

This fabric is sturdy and resilient, but like all linens it does shrink, so we recommend washing before cutting. Please check the weight before ordering, we have various types of various thicknesses.

Care

Wash dyed linens at 40°C; white and natural linens can be laundered at 60°C. Iron on the highest setting; may also be steamed. If machine drying, use a short, gentle cycle.
